National Data Administration Director Liu Liehong Chairs Embodied Intelligence Symposium
On September 10, Liu Liehong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the National Data Administration, chaired a symposium on embodied intelligence in Beijing. The meeting focused on how data can empower the development of embodied AI, a field that combines artificial intelligence with physical systems.
Representatives from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Beijing Institute for General Artificial Intelligence; Lightwheel AI; JD Group; DeepWise; Shijingshan Humanoid Robot Data Training Center; Galaxea; Independent Variable; and Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center attended and offered suggestions on the topic.
The discussion centered on "data empowering embodied intelligence development." Participants emphasized the critical role of high-quality, diverse, and large-scale data in training models and enabling real-world applications. They noted that embodied AI systems require vast amounts of data to learn complex tasks and adapt to dynamic environments.
Currently, the embodied intelligence industry is thriving, showing clear data-driven characteristics. Demand for high-quality, diverse, and large-scale data continues to grow. The symposium aimed to gather industry insights and promote the effective use of data elements in embodied AI, reflecting the growing recognition of data as a strategic resource for technological innovation.
