China Robot Sector Rises 3% on Standards, Mass-Production Catalysts
On October 28, the robot sector strengthened in morning trading. By 10:08, the sector was up 2.21%, after rising as much as 3.16%, while China Merchants' Robot ETF (560770) climbed intraday. Shuanghuan Driveline, Hengli Hydraulic, Leaderdrive, Estun, Orbbec-W and Bojay were among the top gainers.
The rally followed two catalysts: China's market regulator approved national standards covering artificial intelligence and humanoid robots, and expectations for mass production increased. The standards are expected to support standardization and commercialization, while mass-production progress could boost demand across the supply chain. The ETF's move highlighted investor interest in robotics as a strategic growth theme.
