ChiNext Rises 3% as Humanoid Robot Stocks Surge; Robot ETF Jumps Over 7%
In midday trading, the ChiNext Index climbed 3%, driven by a wave of limit-up moves in humanoid robot concept stocks, while the auto parts sector also rallied. Robotics-themed ETFs jumped more than 7%, and the STAR Market machinery ETF rose 6%. The China-Korea semiconductor ETF recorded turnover of 8.8 billion yuan. On the AI hardware side, memory, optical communication, and copper-clad laminate stocks led gains. Meanwhile, baijiu, shipping, financial, and oil-and-gas sectors retreated. The rally reflected growing bets on accelerated commercialization of humanoid robots, with supply-chain firms across actuators, sensors, and precision components drawing strong buying interest. Trading volume in robotics ETFs also expanded significantly. The divergence underscored a market preference for growth themes over consumer and cyclical plays.
