Agibot Upgrades Genie Sim Platform to Tackle Flexible Simulation Challenges
Chinese robotics firm Agibot (Zhiyuan Robotics) has upgraded its Genie Sim simulation platform under its AI WAVE initiative, which aims to “put robots truly on duty” through a full-stack closed loop from data to intelligence. The new version integrates real-space reconstruction, flexible interaction simulation, capability evaluation, and policy post-training into a complete pipeline. AI WAVE represents Agibot’s strategic layout for work intelligence.
The core breakthrough is flexible simulation, which brings the physical world into a virtual R&D environment. This allows standardized evaluation of model capabilities and feeds issues exposed in simulation back into iterative training. By closing the loop between virtual testing and model improvement, the platform reduces reliance on costly physical trials and accelerates development cycles.
The upgraded Genie Sim provides a highly trustworthy training and validation infrastructure for robots. Agibot says this supports the transition from algorithm prototypes to real industrial applications, marking a significant step forward in embodied AI deployment. The platform’s ability to simulate flexible objects addresses a long-standing industry challenge, enabling more realistic testing of robot manipulation skills. It is designed to ensure simulation results correlate with real-world performance, allowing developers to test and refine robot skills before physical deployment.
