Wuchan Jinlun Says Subsidiary's Steel Wire Not Yet Used in Humanoid Robot Tendons
Wuchan Jinlun (002722.SZ) said on Oct. 28 via an investor interaction platform that tendon ropes for humanoid robot dexterous hands can follow several material routes, including ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene fiber, tungsten wire and steel wire rope. Metal tendon ropes, the company noted, place high demands on strength, flexibility, fatigue resistance and dimensional stability.
The company added that special steel wire products from its subsidiary, Jinlun Steel Wire, are currently mainly used in springs, rivets, textile equipment and automotive parts. They have not yet been applied to the humanoid robot tendon-rope field. The disclosure clarifies the subsidiary's current product scope and offers no indication of a current supply relationship in that segment. The statement did not provide a timetable for entering the segment.
