RoboParty Open-Sources Full-Stack Humanoid Robot From Mechanics to Motion Algorithms
RoboParty, an embodied AI startup founded less than a year ago, has open-sourced the full stack of its bipedal humanoid robot prototype, releasing mechanical drawings, a bill of materials, motion-control algorithms, a pitfall-avoidance knowledge base and supply-chain information. Unlike efforts that open only code or simulation environments, the disclosure spans hardware, software and sourcing. The company says it wants to break open the technology black box so more teams can validate ideas from the same starting line. Industry observers see the move as a challenge to the traditional closed development model for humanoid robots, potentially lowering R&D barriers, reducing duplicated trial and error, and speeding prototype iteration and ecosystem collaboration. The release also reportedly covers assembly processes and testing experience, making replication easier for external teams. By exposing both design files and practical know-how, the startup aims to shorten learning curves across the sector.
