Luster LightTech Nine-Month Net Profit Jumps 222.91% as AI Demand Grows
Luster LightTech reported first-nine-month 2026 revenue of RMB 2.274 billion, up 6.90% year on year, with net profit attributable to shareholders reaching RMB 428 million, up 222.91%. Non-GAAP net profit was RMB 146 million, up 30.35%, according to the company’s announcement.
The third quarter was more mixed. Quarterly revenue rose 8.36% to RMB 823 million, but net profit attributable to shareholders swung to a loss of RMB 228 million, down 723.41% year on year. Non-GAAP net profit fell 32.85% to RMB 20.8801 million. The contrast between the cumulative and quarterly figures shows that profitability deteriorated sharply in the latest three-month period even as sales continued to grow.
Luster LightTech attributed the nine-month profit jump to growth in newly signed orders, rising demand for visual inspection in data center optical communications and AI infrastructure, and early-scale revenue from embodied intelligence data collection. It said higher R&D spending and fluctuations in Zhipu’s share price weighed on third-quarter profit.
The announcement highlights a business mix in transition: AI-related inspection and embodied intelligence data services are beginning to contribute to revenue, while quarterly profitability remains sensitive to investment intensity and external market volatility. The company provided headline figures and a brief explanation, without a detailed breakdown by segment.
