West Lake Robotics Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., an embodied intelligence robotics company, has completed a Series A1 financing round totaling several hundred million yuan. The round attracted Haiyuan Capital, Cuiwei Fund, Ginkgo Valley Capital, Xihu Kechuang Investment, and Zhongshan Venture Capital. The company did not disclose the valuation or specific plans for the proceeds.
Founded in 2021, West Lake Robotics focuses on embodied AI robotics and aims to advance general artificial intelligence for robot behavior. Its mission is to endow robots with human-like behavioral capabilities, moving beyond narrow task execution toward adaptable, general-purpose operation.
The company pursues a robot general intelligence innovation path that deeply integrates reinforcement learning with large models. By combining these methods, it seeks to improve how robots learn, generalize, and act across diverse tasks and environments. The investor group includes several funds and investment platforms, and highlights growing interest in embodied AI.
