Shangwei New Materials Surges 20% as Robot Stocks Rally
On the afternoon of Oct. 26, Shangwei New Materials extended gains and sealed its 20% daily limit, becoming a leading gainer in China’s robot-concept segment. The broader robot index continued to advance in the afternoon session, extending a recent rebound.
Unitree Technology rose more than 14%, with its share price returning above 700 yuan. Fanya Microporous also hit the limit, while Wanxiang Qianchao, Lansheng and Molding Technology had already locked limit-up earlier; Wankai New Materials gained over 10%.
The rally followed a product milestone. Qiyuan Robotics said on Oct. 25 that its 5,000th personal robot had officially rolled off the production line, a signal that personal robotics is moving from prototype demonstrations toward batch production.
Market participants viewed the combination of strong trading in upstream materials and robotics names as evidence that capital is again focusing on commercialization progress, though the sector remains sensitive to news-driven volatility.
