ASD Reports 142 Million Yuan Net Loss; Humanoid Robot Business Still Early

ASD (002403.SZ) reported a net loss of 142 million yuan for the first three quarters, a widening loss year-on-year. The company attributed the increase to three main factors: (1) weak demand in the export market for cookware, rising raw material costs, and increased exchange losses due to the appreciation of the RMB against the US dollar; (2) a year-on-year decline in gross margin for the industrial robot business, where revenue growth was accompanied by increased phased losses; and (3) the humanoid robot business is still in the early stages of expansion.

ASD noted that it will continue to invest in the humanoid robot sector, and related expenses may continue to affect short-term performance. The company is actively expanding its humanoid robot product line, but commercialization progress remains uncertain, with limited contribution to overall profitability expected in the near term.
