MeeFeng Showcases Robot Training as New Employment Path for Disabled at CIFTIS

The 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services opened in Beijing on September 9. MeeFeng Technology appeared at a special exhibition area hosted by the Beijing Disabled Persons' Federation, themed 'Digital Intelligence Assists the Disabled, Skills Create a Better Life.'

At the booth, people with disabilities used two embodied AI data collection products, MEgo View and MEgo Gripper, to complete several tasks. Their actions were converted into data usable for training embodied intelligence models, unlocking a new profession: 'robot trainer.'

A person with disabilities said the collection process is 'very convenient' and 'not complicated to operate.' The individual described participating in data collection through daily operations as a worthwhile new experience.

Notably, this week the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security officially released its eighth batch of new professions and job types. 'Embodied intelligent robot data collector' and 'embodied intelligent robot trainer' were included as new job types.

As the embodied AI industry develops, 'collecting data and training robots' is becoming a new employment option.

For people with disabilities, participating in robot training does not require mastering complex programming or robot operation skills. MEgo Gripper uses a wireless, lightweight design to record action trajectories such as grasping and moving, while MEgo View combines environmental views with wrist interaction close-ups to capture scene information and operational details.

Through daily operations, disabled individuals can provide training material for embodied AI models. Such real-life data has unique value: future robots need to enter homes, commercial spaces, elderly care, and public services, and must learn real human operation methods in different environments and tasks.

Everyone's accumulated experience in real life can potentially be converted into data that helps robots learn and understand the physical world. MeeFeng also noted that the world's first body-less embodied data crowdsourcing platform, the MeeFeng Pai app, will officially launch on September 23. Disabled individuals are expected to take on data collection tasks from home and earn labor income.
