Digital Trade Expo: Robots Team Up to Fold Quilts, Dexterous Hands Fully Self-Developed

The fifth Global Digital Trade Expo will open in Hangzhou on September 23. The Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center is already busy with preparations, as nearly 2,000 companies and more than 500 AI firms are set to appear.

This year, Hangzhou's "New Eight Steeds" and "Six Little Dragons" enterprises will share the same stage at the expo for the first time. During a preview of the themed halls, several specific robot and AI products drew attention.

In the AI exhibition area, Hangzhou Xinno Future Technology displayed two recently released dexterous hands. Technical engineer Geng Hongwang said Flex-2 uses the industry's first hybrid rope-and-direct drive, with 23 degrees of freedom; Prima-1, a direct-drive hand, has 22 degrees of freedom.

The ball screws, coreless motors, micro electric cylinders and motion control algorithms used in the hands are all fully self-developed and self-produced, forming the company's core barrier. Xinno Future completed a 500 million yuan A+ round in July and has entered unicorn ranks. Its hybrid-drive hand targets industrial and consumer scenarios, while the direct-drive model mainly serves algorithm training needs at universities and research institutes.

Dexterous hands are key components for fine manipulation; the number of degrees of freedom determines the complexity of actions, and full-stack self-development corresponds to cost and supply-chain autonomy.
