Tusk Robot's 'Invisible Legs' Lift 1.5 Tons in Narrow Spaces
Tusk Robot, though lacking a humanoid form, excels at the demanding task of material handling. Its ultra-low-profile design, standing less than 17 centimeters tall, enables it to glide through spaces where traditional forklifts cannot operate.
Upon receiving a command, this E-shaped robot navigates a preset path to its destination. It then extends legs concealed beneath its chassis, slides them deftly under a pallet, and hoists the full 1.5-ton load onto its body. After retracting those legs, it weaves through narrow corridors with surprising agility, demonstrating both raw strength and precise control.
Such capability addresses a critical bottleneck in logistics: the need for heavy lifting in tight, space-constrained environments. By eliminating the need for wide turning radii or tall clearance, this innovation allows warehouses to maximize storage density without sacrificing throughput. It represents a practical step toward autonomous, space-efficient material transport.
