Deep Robotics Deploys Humanoid Robots for Rainy National Day Traffic Duty in Hangzhou
During the National Day holiday, Deep Robotics deployed a batch of DR02 humanoid robots to key traffic intersections and scenic areas in Hangzhou's Xihu District, including Xixi National Wetland Park, Lingyin Street Zheda Road, and Wenyi West Road. The deployment aimed to assist with traffic management during holiday period.
In the rain, the DR02 robots performed tasks such as intersection duty, voice guidance for tourists, identifying electric bikes crossing stop lines, and reminding cyclists without helmets. Their humanoid form allows them to better adapt to crowded public environments and interact naturally with visitors.
The DR02 stands 180 cm tall, has 31 degrees of freedom, and features an IP66 waterproof and dustproof rating. It operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 55°C, ensuring stable performance in rain and other harsh weather. These features make it suitable for outdoor deployment in various weather conditions.
This deployment demonstrates the potential of humanoid robots in public scenarios and offers a new solution for holiday traffic management and tourist services. The robots represent a step forward in applying humanoid technology to public services.
