2026 World Young Scientists Summit Unveils Quantum, Embodied AI Talent Lists
The 2026 World Young Scientists Summit opened in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, on October 24. At the main plenary session, organizers released several major outcomes aimed at identifying talent and supporting international collaboration in frontier fields.
One release was the global “Young Scientists Pioneer List 2035” for quantum science and technology. The list focuses on quantum materials and quantum information, selects and promotes 20 promising young researchers, and is intended to serve as a global observation window for emerging talent. Organizers said the initiative seeks to spotlight researchers with long-term potential and strengthen the pipeline for quantum innovation.
The summit also issued the “Report on the Distribution and Mobility of Young Scientists in Embodied Intelligence.” The report examines talent layout and mobility trends in embodied intelligence, a fast-growing track in artificial intelligence, and aims to provide reference support for international collaborative innovation. The releases are expected to help institutions identify emerging leaders and cross-border collaboration opportunities in quantum technology and embodied AI.
