NDRC Accelerates Embodied AI Adoption Across Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Services
At the NDRC's August routine press conference, Li Chao, deputy director of the Policy Research Office, stated that the commission will focus on practical and effective measures, using embodied intelligence training grounds and application pilot bases as key levers. The goal is to enable robots to iterate technology in real-world scenarios and form a closed-loop application driven by actual demand. The initiative targets sectors including manufacturing, healthcare, consumer services, hospitality, and public safety, aiming to bridge the gap between lab prototypes and commercial deployment. By embedding robots in authentic operational environments, the NDRC seeks to validate performance, refine capabilities, and accelerate the commercialization of embodied AI technologies across industries.
