NDRC: Robot Industry Must Adapt to Local Conditions, Avoid Blind Followers
At its monthly press conference in August, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) stressed that the robot industry, which spans cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and new materials, must develop in a healthy and orderly manner. Li Chao, deputy director of the NDRC's Policy Research Office, said that local governments should base their robot industry plans on regional resource endowments and industrial strengths, positioning themselves appropriately to avoid blind imitation and a rush to jump on the bandwagon.
