Embodied AI Unicorn Pasini Relocates HQ to Beijing's Haidian District
According to business registration, Pasini Sensing Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. completed a change on July 17, 2026, officially renaming to Pasini Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd.
The registered address moved from Bao'an, Shenzhen to Haidian District, Beijing, with the registration authority changed to Haidian Market Supervision Bureau, and the company's nature shifted from a Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan investment enterprise to a domestic limited liability company.
On July 31, Pasini responded that the change is a "headquarters functional adjustment," upgrading headquarters functions and national collaborative layout, not a full relocation.
The Shenzhen industrial base and branch offices will remain, continuing the "Shenzhen industrialization + Beijing frontier R&D" north-south division.
Founded in 2021 in Bao'an, Shenzhen, Pasini's core team comes from the Sugano Robotics Laboratory at Waseda University in Japan.
The company focuses on high-precision tactile sensors, dexterous hands, and full-stack humanoid robot technology, serving precision manufacturing, automotive production lines, and healthcare.
In Q1 2026, Pasini completed a Series B financing of over 1 billion yuan, with a post-investment valuation exceeding 10 billion yuan, becoming a unicorn in embodied AI.
In late July, its self-developed "Meta Action Dataset" obtained data intellectual property registration, the first of its kind in Guangdong Province for embodied AI real-world collection.
Industry analysts say the northward move helps connect with Beijing's university research resources, state capital, and data compliance regulatory channels, supporting IPO preparation and national data factory layout.
However, Shenzhen's local tax revenue and headquarters economic identity may be diluted.
