GDPS Workshop Opens Xiaobumi Humanoid for Hands-On Developer Coding
The Global Developer Pioneer Conference (GDPS) has introduced the “Small Humanoid, Big Power” developer workshop as a core technical segment, with Songyan Dynamics providing core support. The program focuses on small humanoid secondary development, embodied framework adaptation, motion choreography, open SDK capabilities and community co-creation, responding to practical barriers such as limited access to real robots and incomplete original technical documentation.
The small humanoid robot industry is developing rapidly, and embodied intelligence, open SDKs and secondary development have become important directions. Many developers have innovative ideas, but without real-machine validation they struggle to move technical concepts from design to physical implementation.
Unlike industry exhibitions that mainly present finished products, the workshop is organized around real engineering pain points. It combines systematic technical sharing with a dedicated real-machine debugging area, allowing participants to test content on hardware and close the loop from technical understanding to development integration and code practice.
The event will run on October 24, 2026, from 09:00 to 12:00 at the Global Innovation Project Roadshow venue of Zhangjiang Science Hall in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. It is guided and hosted by the GDPS organizing committee and its office, organized by Leaderobot (Robotics Lecture Hall), and supported by Beijing Songyan Dynamics Technology Group.
Core sessions include a Noetix SDK ecosystem briefing and demo case walkthrough by Songyan Dynamics’ R&D lead. A hands-on Xiaobumi development session will involve on-site coding prompts and real-machine debugging, with technical experts roving the venue for one-on-one guidance. A Q&A and quiz segment will allow developers to engage directly with the company’s R&D team and compete for gifts. A Xiaobumi interactive check-in zone will offer commemorative gifts to participants.
Attendees can gain a working understanding of Noetix SDK and controller capabilities, including embodied adaptation and motion choreography methods. They can practice on real hardware under expert supervision, shortening the path from theory to implementation. The workshop also enables face-to-face exchange with Songyan Dynamics’ R&D team, peer discussion on secondary development and community co-creation, and participation in interactive check-in activities.
Registration is open to people meeting at least one criterion: proficiency in Python or C++ with basic coding, compilation and Linux (Ubuntu) skills; students in robotics, automation, artificial intelligence or computer science with project experience in human-robot interaction, robot development or algorithms; robot application developers and algorithm researchers interested in humanoid secondary development, embodied intelligence, reinforcement learning or multimodal interaction; and open-source community developers seeking to build applications and community cases on humanoid SDKs. Registered developers should bring laptops for hands-on practice. Details are available from Wu at 17729933975. The registration channel is open, with a QR code provided for sign-up.
On October 24 in Zhangjiang, developers can leave purely simulated environments behind, bring their development ideas and run code directly on a small humanoid robot.
