Huaqiangbei AI Glasses Sales Surge 100%, Exports Reach 190+ Countries
During the first seven months of this year, sales of AI products in Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen's renowned electronics district, grew by over 55% year-on-year. Among these, AI glasses emerged as a standout, with sales surging by an impressive 100%. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and robots also saw strong growth, with sales increasing by 60% to 70% compared with the same period last year.
Huaqiangbei has evolved into a global hub for innovative technology, attracting both domestic and international tourists with products like translation earphones, 3D printing devices, and smart wearables. The district's remarkable speed—'design in the morning, prototype in the afternoon, mass production the next day, and global shipping within a week'—underscores its agile manufacturing ecosystem and high efficiency.
These figures highlight Huaqiangbei's pivotal role in the global consumer electronics supply chain. The latest data show that exports from Huaqiangbei now cover more than 190 countries and regions. Out of the over 1 billion packages shipped annually from the area, 40% are destined for overseas markets, demonstrating the district's strong international influence and competitiveness.
The surge in AI product sales, particularly AI glasses, reflects a broader trend of AI technology being integrated into everyday consumer devices. This growth not only boosts local businesses but also positions Huaqiangbei as a key player in the global AI industry.
