XPeng Robotics Raises Over $900M in First Funding Round, Valued at $6.3B
XPeng Group announced today that its robotics business unit has completed its first funding round, raising over $900 million. The post-money valuation exceeds $6.3 billion (approximately RMB 43 billion), with several investment institutions proactively initiating the round.
Leading the round is IDG Capital, with GSR Ventures as a participant. Strategic investors Tencent and Alibaba have also provided support, while XPeng Group will retain controlling interest in the robotics unit.
The funding will be directed toward accelerating mass production of XPeng Robotics' products and advancing its physical AI capabilities, marking a significant step in the company's robotics commercialization strategy.
