According to a report from China Business Network (CBN), XPeng's robotics business has completed its first round of financing, securing over $900 million. The funding round was led by IDG Capital and saw participation from prominent investors including Gaorong Ventures, Tencent, and Alibaba. XPeng Group, known for its smart electric vehicles, will retain a controlling stake in the robotics unit, ensuring strategic alignment. The post-money valuation of the robotics business stands at over $6.3 billion (approximately RMB 430 billion). This substantial funding underscores the growing investor interest in humanoid and embodied AI technologies, as major tech firms bet on the next frontier of automation.
