ZTE Unveils Multi-Form Humanoid Robot Matrix: Xingzai, Xingqing, Xingwang
ZTE has responded to investor questions about a rumored full-size humanoid robot named ZTE Xingzai. The company said the lightweight bionic humanoid is 1.6 meters tall and weighs more than 30 kilograms, making it the lightest product in its size class currently available in the industry.
On October 8, ZTE said that at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference it exhibited a self-developed multi-form humanoid robot matrix. The lineup includes the lightweight bionic humanoid Xingzai, the bipedal heavy-duty Xingqing, and the wheeled heavy-duty Xingwang. These robots are designed to cover diverse needs in commercial services and industrial manufacturing.
ZTE also introduced several core products and technologies alongside the robots, including the Xingqiao series dexterous hands and the Xinghe automotive-grade main control chip controller. The company noted that its related robotics business has not yet formed scaled revenue, indicating that commercialization remains at an early stage. The multi-form approach reflects a broader industry trend toward matching robot configurations with specific payload, mobility, and service requirements. By offering both bipedal and wheeled heavy-duty options, ZTE is positioning its robots for different operational environments. The announcement highlights ZTE's push beyond telecommunications into embodied AI, combining robot platforms with core components. Further commercialization details were not disclosed.
