IFR Data: Global Humanoid Robot Sales Hit About 7,000 Units in 2025

Statistics that the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) plans to release soon show that about 7,000 humanoid robots were sold worldwide in 2025, according to CCTV. The figure covers only humanoid robots deployed in industrial and professional service settings, excluding consumer, military and medical robots.

The total suggests the industry is still in the early stages of commercialization. Output and cost remain key bottlenecks, and current products target mainly factories, warehouses and logistics operations, along with professional services. A consumer market for humanoid robots has yet to take off, and analysts say the modest annual volume underscores how far the sector remains from mass adoption. Humanoid robots still account for a tiny share of the global robotics market, which ships millions of units a year.
