China Unveils 11 New Professions, Including Embodied AI Technician
On September 9, China's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, along with other departments, officially released a list of 11 new professions and 23 new job types, as reported by Xinhua News Agency. Among the newly recognized roles are ship-to-shore management engineering technicians, embodied AI robot application technicians, and sports data analysts. The expanded list also includes 23 new job categories such as community workers, low-altitude logistics personnel, and aging-friendly renovation designers. Additionally, information for six existing professions, including agricultural product brokers, has been adjusted or updated. This move reflects the government's effort to keep occupational classifications in step with rapid technological and social changes, particularly in AI, logistics, and community services.
