Xpeng Robotics Raises Over $900M in Initial Round, Setting New Valuation Record

Xpeng Robotics, the robotics arm of Chinese automaker XPeng Inc. (09868.HK/XPEV.US), has completed its first external funding round, securing over $900 million. The investment values the company at more than $6.3 billion (approximately 430 billion RMB), according to information released by XPeng on August 24.

This round sets a new record for single-round private equity financing in China's embodied intelligence sector, surpassing previous benchmarks. The funding was actively initiated by leading global investors, with IDG Capital acting as the lead investor.

The capital injection will support Xpeng Robotics' continued development of intelligent robotic technologies and products, positioning the company to expand its footprint in the rapidly growing embodied AI market.
