He Xiaopeng Takes Robotics CEO Role, Accelerating Mass Production
He Xiaopeng, CEO of XPeng, announced that he will personally serve as the CEO of the company's robotics business in addition to his role as CEO of XPeng. This move underscores XPeng's commitment to advancing its robotics division from research to mass production and commercialization.
Over the past 12 years, XPeng has maintained a full-stack self-development approach for both software and hardware. By leveraging resources across the entire group, XPeng aims to combine the strengths accumulated in its automotive business—such as supply chain management, automotive-grade manufacturing, global layout, and autonomous driving technologies including the Turing AI chip, AI infrastructure, and physical world foundation models—into its robotics segment. This integration is expected to help XPeng's robots achieve mass production and commercialization more swiftly.
