Jiangxi’s First Humanoid Robot Brand ‘Luyou’ Launched, Shifting from OEM to Own Brand
Jiangxi Luyou Robotics Joint Venture has been formally established with joint funding from Shenzhen UBTECH Technology, Jiujiang Industrial Development Group and Jiujiang Chuangzhi Industrial Investment. The entity marks the official launch of Luyou, Jiangxi Province’s first independent humanoid robot brand.
The joint venture combines UBTECH’s robotics technology with local industrial capital and manufacturing resources. It signals a shift from contract manufacturing toward original brand development, as Jiangxi seeks a larger role in the embodied intelligence supply chain.
Jiujiang’s Poyang Lake Ecological Technology City now hosts dozens of related companies. In the first half of the year, the cluster shipped about 5,000 complete robots, and 13 above-scale embodied intelligence firms reported combined revenue exceeding 798 million yuan, up 47.6% year on year.
The figures underscore the rapid growth of the region’s robotics ecosystem and the commercial momentum behind humanoid and embodied AI development. The venture also reflects China’s broader push to localize advanced robotics production and build domestic brands. The new brand may strengthen the local supply chain.
