Anshun College Wins 19 Awards in National Robot Competition, Including 5 First Prizes
When students from a local college competed alongside elites from top universities like Tsinghua and Harbin Institute of Technology, they delivered an unexpected result. At the recently concluded 28th China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition, Anshun College made history.
The competition, recognized as an A-level academic contest by the Ministry of Education, is one of the most prestigious in the field. This year, it featured four major tracks: innovation, application, competition, and challenge, aligning with national strategies for manufacturing power and digital China.
In this intense competition, all 19 teams from Anshun College earned awards: 5 first prizes, 3 second prizes, 8 third prizes, and 3 excellence awards. This record-breaking performance set a new benchmark for the university.
Such success did not happen overnight. The college has consistently promoted learning through competitions, aligning its education with the development of AI and intelligent manufacturing industries. From internal selections to provincial and national finals, 19 outstanding teams were chosen for their scale and quality.
Under the guidance of dedicated faculty, students underwent rigorous training, refining their projects and technical skills. Facing strong rivals from key national universities, they remained composed, showcasing their expertise in intelligent innovation and application.
This achievement proves that high-quality innovative talent can be cultivated not only in "Double First-Class" universities but also in local western colleges. Anshun College has demonstrated that its classrooms and laboratories are fertile ground for such growth.
Looking ahead, the university will continue to leverage high-level academic competitions to deepen educational reform, nurture innovation, and contribute more applied talent to regional sci-tech development.
