China Slams FCC Blacklist of Chinese Inverters and Robots as Protectionist
The People's Daily, in its 'Zhong Sheng' column, criticized the recent US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) decision to place foreign-made power inverters and advanced robotics equipment on a so-called 'Covered List'. This move effectively blocks new models of these products from obtaining certification and entering the US market, a step that Washington frames under the guise of 'non-discrimination' or 'national security'.
However, the Chinese state media argues that the real intent is to single out and suppress Chinese companies and their products. It calls the measure a typical act of unilateral bullying, which blatantly distorts the principles of market economy and fair competition. The article emphasizes that such actions harm the bilateral economic and trade relations and undermine global supply chains.
