Leju Robotics, HUST Sign Deal on Flexible 3D Tactile Sensing for Embodied Robots
Leju Robotics (01236.HK) announced on October 11 that it has formally signed an agreement with Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) to collaborate on flexible three-dimensional tactile sensing for embodied robots.
The partnership focuses on flexible 3D tactile sensing, which is seen as a key capability for embodied robots to perform dexterous manipulation and interact safely with their environment. HUST brings research expertise in robotic perception, while Leju Robotics contributes hardware and industrialization experience; the two sides plan to jointly advance R&D and translate results into deployable products. The announcement did not disclose financial terms or a timetable. Flexible 3D tactile sensing is widely regarded as an enabler of next-generation embodied intelligence, and university-industry collaborations of this kind are expected to accelerate its maturity and industrialization.
