Unitree CEO: Embodied AI Tipping Point Within 1-2 Years; Robot ETF Sees Inflows
On October 15, A-shares opened sharply lower and fluctuated downward, with over 5,100 stocks declining. In the afternoon, some broad-based ETFs saw significant volume increases, and the Shanghai Composite Index barely held the 3,700-point mark. On the same day, Wang Xingxing, founder of Unitree Robotics, said that the tipping point for embodied AI could arrive within one to two years, drawing market attention. The broader market saw a sell-off, but the robot sector remained in focus.
The underlying index of the Robot ETF (159213) from China Universal Asset Management fell over 3% on the day, staying underwater throughout the session. However, funds flowed in against the trend, with the ETF attracting strong inflows and receiving over 12 million yuan in net inflows over the past five days. Wang also noted that the "brain" has become a strategic focus for robot manufacturers, as the industry accelerates its evolution from hardware to intelligence.
