Unitree Tech Commits to Annual Sponsorship for 'Genius Youth' Projects

Unitree Technology, known for its quadruped and humanoid robots, announced on Monday that it will sponsor a number of "genius youths" each year without any compensation. The sponsorship program, unveiled on the company's official WeChat account, sets the age limit from high school students to those who have not yet completed their master's degree. There are no restrictions on the content of the projects, allowing applicants to explore any frontier area, including chip manufacturing, artificial general intelligence (AGI), microrobotics, controlled nuclear fusion, limb regeneration, and superconducting materials. Applicants are required to submit a detailed project proposal outlining their research goals and expected outcomes. Both basic research and applied development are welcome, as long as they are innovative and feasible.

The company stated that it will provide funding of 10,000 to 20,000 yuan per project, distributed in stages based on the quality of the application and the progress of the project. Exceptional proposals may receive additional support without a fixed upper limit. This initiative is part of Unitree's effort to nurture young talent and encourage innovation in diverse scientific fields. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their proposals through designated channels, and review results will be announced in stages. The program aims to foster breakthrough thinking among young scientists and inject fresh vitality into cutting-edge technology development.
