Huawei's Hubble Backs Shita Robotics in Angel Funding Round
On October 13, Shenzhen Shita Robot Technology Co., Ltd. announced the completion of its angel funding round. The investors include Huawei's Hubble Investment, a fund under Shenzhen High-tech Investment, and Gaoxuan Investment, with Duowei Capital serving as exclusive financial advisor.
The company said the proceeds will mainly fund product R&D iteration and commercialization, accelerating deployment across embodied intelligence, consumer electronics, and industrial scenarios. Shita's core R&D team comes from the Smart Liquid Crystal Optics Laboratory at Southern University of Science and Technology, bringing expertise in liquid crystal optics and intelligent perception. The lab focuses on smart liquid crystal optics, a field with applications in displays, sensing, and adaptive optics for robots.
The investment from Huawei's Hubble signals continued interest in upstream technologies for embodied intelligence and robotics. With the new capital, Shita aims to speed up productization and drive adoption of its technologies across multiple industries. Huawei's Hubble Investment has backed several hardware and semiconductor startups, and its participation underscores strategic interest in robotics supply chains.
