Qiyuan Launches Q1 and T1 Personal Robots Starting at 19,999 Yuan
On September 20, Qiyuan Robot, a unit of Shangwei New Materials, launched its Q1 and T1 personal robots in Shanghai. Both basic versions are priced at 19,999 yuan, while the Q1 Explorer edition costs 26,999 yuan. The company says the products are now officially on sale.
The launch positions Qiyuan in China's emerging consumer robotics market, where personal robots are moving beyond labs and industrial settings. At the event, executives pointed to pricing as a key factor in bringing consumer robots to more households.
The Q1 and T1 are designed for personal use, though detailed specifications were not disclosed in the initial announcement. The company did not immediately provide a full breakdown of the T1 lineup or its availability schedule.
Industry observers note that the sub-20,000-yuan price point could lower the barrier for consumers. Qiyuan's move follows growing interest in embodied AI and home robots, but mass adoption will depend on practical functionality, safety, and after-sales support.
