Cainiao's Climbing Robots Debut at CeMAT Asia, Target 80% Overseas Business
At CeMAT ASIA 2026 in Shanghai, Cainiao showcased its self-developed climbing robot system, 21st Century Business Herald reported. The system demonstrated four-way picking and double-deep storage capabilities, as well as a new robot scheduling system and a warehouse planning simulation platform.
Cainiao said the newly added capabilities enable the robots to turn more smoothly and further improve operating efficiency. The climbing robot is designed for high-density storage environments, where four-way picking and double-deep storage help maximize warehouse space. The company plans to deliver the system globally, with more than 80% of the related business targeted at overseas markets.
The debut at the international logistics technology exhibition underscores Cainiao's push into intelligent logistics equipment. By combining robotic hardware with scheduling and simulation software, the company aims to meet growing demand for warehouse automation and expand its automation solutions internationally.
