Zhenghai Magnetic Says Humanoid Robot Business Still in Early Development

Zhenghai Magnetic Materials (300224.SZ) said at a recent earnings briefing that its humanoid robot business is still in the development stage and has contributed only limitedly to the company’s overall operating results. The Shenzhen-listed rare-earth permanent magnet producer noted that the segment’s future scale will depend on multiple factors, including downstream industry development and project implementation progress.

The disclosure underscores the early commercial status of humanoid robotics for the company, which has not yet provided a specific timeline or revenue target for the business. Zhenghai Magnetic said the business remains subject to uncertainty and gave no indication that humanoid robotics would become a meaningful earnings driver in the near term. The company’s comments came during a performance explanation meeting on Nov. 4, according to Gelonghui. The company did not provide further operational details in the statement.
