AgiBot Invests in Xinji Wuxian to Secure Domestic RISC-V Compute for Embodied AI
Xinji Wuxian, a Tsinghua-affiliated RISC-V chip company, has completed a Pre-A financing round. The round was jointly invested by AgiBot (Zhiyuan Robotics), the Anhui Automotive Innovation Center, Guoyuan Equity, Hefei Baohe Venture Capital and other institutions, with Wanchuang Investment Bank serving as financial adviser.
AgiBot, one of China’s leading humanoid robot developers, said the strategic stake is intended to secure an autonomous and controllable domestic compute foundation for its embodied intelligence business. The participation of the Anhui Automotive Innovation Center and local state-owned capital is expected to help Xinji Wuxian connect with resources and scenario orders from the regional automotive industry cluster.
RISC-V is an open instruction-set architecture increasingly adopted by Chinese chip designers to reduce reliance on proprietary foreign architectures. For embodied AI and humanoid robots, low-power, high-reliability edge compute is critical for perception, planning and real-time control. The deal highlights growing coordination between chip suppliers and robot makers as embodied AI companies seek reliable domestic alternatives for RISC-V-based compute. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the companies did not specify the size of the round.
