Xuanji Dynamics Debuts Hypertron-SW01 Quadruped Robot at China-ASEAN Expo, Targets ASEAN Inspection Market

The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo was held in Nanning from September 17 to 21. The expo covered a total exhibition area of approximately 170,000 square meters and attracted more than 3,400 companies from over 70 countries and regions.

This year, the expo set up the Future Space and Tech Enterprise Growth Empowerment zone for the first time, while continuing the AI zone. Shenzhen-based embodied AI robotics company Xuanji Dynamics globally launched its new mid-size intelligent quadruped robot, Hypertron-SW01, and released upgrades to two self-developed software systems: the AI Intelligent Inspection Management Platform and the AI All-Terrain Environment Perception System.

Xuanji Dynamics positions its product as an "out-of-the-box, deploy-and-work" quadruped robot solution for cross-industry applications. This addresses a real barrier for quadruped robots going overseas: once a robot reaches an overseas customer, it typically requires secondary development, re-adaptation, and parameter tuning for the local scenario, a process that can take weeks to months.

Xuanji Dynamics says its product requires no lengthy secondary development or scenario adaptation, and can be quickly validated and deployed across industries and locations worldwide upon arrival. This delivery capability is underpinned by self-research on core components. The company claims to be one of the few in the industry with full-chain independent R&D for motors, from design and process to mass production.

Domestically, the Hypertron series has already achieved routine operation at substations of top domestic grid customers, withstanding the stability test of long-period unmanned continuous operation. Grid substations are a typical scenario for quadruped robot inspection: complex environments, dense equipment, and heavy manual inspection workloads demand autonomous navigation, obstacle-crossing ability, and endurance. Running routine operations in domestic grid scenarios means the product has passed validation under the most stringent operating conditions.

Xuanji Dynamics focuses on three industries: power and energy, emergency firefighting, and smart parks. These industries share common traits: relatively enclosed scenarios, definable tasks, and clear customer willingness to pay.

The China-ASEAN Expo serves as a springboard for going overseas. Lu Feng, a partner at Xuanji Dynamics, said that through the expo platform, the company has achieved "going global without leaving the country," efficiently connecting with government and business partners across ASEAN, raising brand awareness, and gaining landing intentions, commercial orders, and ecosystem partners. The expo's unique advantage is that ASEAN buyers and partners gather in one place, so Chinese companies do not need to visit each country individually.

For embodied AI equipment going overseas, quadruped robots may scale before humanoid robots, as quadrupeds have higher technological maturity, more focused tasks, and more practical acceptance of their form factor. Xuanji Dynamics is pushing its domestically grid-validated solution directly overseas, saving the time needed to build scenario adaptation from scratch. The next question is how different ASEAN markets' power, firefighting, and park scenarios are from China's, and whether localized service networks can keep up with the product's delivery pace.
