Aishida Shares Surge 20% on Robot Hype, Firm Warns of No Real Earnings
Shenzhen Commercial Daily reporter Mu Yan reported on September 6 that Aishida Co., Ltd. (hereafter "Aishida" or "the company") announced an unusual stock trading activity notice. The company's shares hit the daily limit up for two consecutive trading days, September 3 and 4, with a cumulative gain exceeding 20%, signaling notable short-term price volatility.
In the notice, Aishida confirmed that after self-inspection, no undisclosed major favorable information exists. The recent rally appears primarily driven by market sentiment and speculative trading surrounding the company's newly developed embodied intelligence robot business, rather than actual operational improvements.
The company emphasized that the new robot segment has not yet generated any material revenue or profit contribution. In contrast, its half-year financial report showed a sharp decline in net profit, with losses significantly deepening compared to the previous year, highlighting a disconnect between the stock price surge and the company's underlying fundamentals.
