AGIBOT Becomes Hong Kong Strategic Enterprise, Boosts International R&D and Talent
On October 22, Hong Kong’s Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises held a signing ceremony for a new batch of key companies. Witnessed by Financial Secretary Paul Chan, AGIBOT formally signed on as one of the newly introduced strategic enterprises, marking another step in its long-term commitment to the city.
Under the arrangement, AGIBOT will use Hong Kong as a key fulcrum for international research and development, industrial cooperation and connections to global markets. The company says it will continue to advance research partnerships, talent development and practical applications of embodied intelligence technology.
The signing reflects Hong Kong’s push to attract technology anchor companies and strengthen its innovation and technology ecosystem. For AGIBOT, the designation is expected to enhance its international profile and provide a platform for collaboration with local institutions and industry partners as it expands overseas. The program is designed to draw high-value firms and support Hong Kong’s wider economic diversification.
The move also underscores Hong Kong’s role as a gateway between mainland China and global markets in emerging fields such as robotics and embodied AI. It gives AGIBOT a base for deeper engagement with local and international partners.
