Hello Robot, A&K Robotics to discuss indoor robot navigation at RoboBusiness 2026
Consumer-facing spaces are dynamic, crowded, and highly unpredictable. Robots must safely navigate changing obstacles, adapt to varied lighting conditions, pass through narrow passages and cluttered areas, and integrate with existing infrastructure while balancing autonomy and safety.
As robots move beyond warehouses and other controlled environments into everyday life, solving these navigation challenges is critical for broad consumer acceptance and large-scale deployment.
At RoboBusiness 2026, Aaron Edsinger, co-founder and CEO of Hello Robot, and Matt Anderson, co-founder and CEO of A&K Robotics, will take part in the session “Shared Spaces: Navigating Challenges for Indoor Robots.” The event runs Oct. 20–21 in Santa Clara, Calif. Their talk is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. PT on the first day in the Engineering Theater.
The discussion will feature platforms such as Hello Robot’s Stretch 4 and A&K Robotics’ Cruz autonomous pod.
Aaron Edsinger is co-founder and CEO of Hello Robot, which develops practical, safe, and accessible robots for people. He has founded four companies focused on bringing human-collaborative robots to consumer, manufacturing, healthcare, and research markets.
Two of those companies, Meka Robotics and Redwood Robotics, were acquired by Google in 2013. As robotics director at Google, Edsinger led business, product, and technical development for two of Google’s central robotics investments, working closely with senior vice president and C-level executives to define overall robotics strategy.
Edsinger is a recognized robotics innovator with a broad understanding of the entire robot product design stack, including human–robot interaction, UX design, and mechanical design. He is also an expert in design for manufacture, industrial design, software architecture, real-time control, and design of force-controlled arms, actuators, hands, and humanoids.
Matt Anderson is co-founder and CEO of A&K Robotics, which is building autonomous mobility infrastructure for complex, human-centered environments such as airports. He leads the company’s product strategy, including Cruz, a self-driving mobility robot that carries passengers through high-traffic, dynamic environments like airport terminals, and Kineos AI, a platform for socially intelligent autonomy that enables systems to move naturally through dynamic spaces.
Anderson brings credibility with enterprise and public-sector partners by translating advanced autonomy into institution-ready solutions. He has over 10 years of experience building and bringing to market advanced technologies ranging from autonomous aerial drones to surgical devices.
Matt is an alumnus of Creative Destruction Lab’s AI and Machine Learning program. In a past life, he was a Chartered Accountant working in finance, investment, and business development.
