Qiyuan Q1 and T1 Robots Connect to Tencent Cloud WorkBuddy
Tencent Cloud announced on September 20 a partnership with consumer embodied AI brand Qiyuan Robots. Its Q1 and T1 robots have officially connected to WorkBuddy, making Qiyuan the first embodied AI company to access the platform.
Tencent Cloud describes the collaboration as a union of brain and body. WorkBuddy is the brain, skilled at understanding and reasoning and able to dispatch tens of thousands of ecosystem Skills from the cloud at any time. Qiyuan robots are the body, responsible for interaction and execution and having accumulated hundreds of embodied AI atomic capabilities. Through the combination, WorkBuddy gains embodiment—ears, eyes, hands and feet—and enters real workplace and life scenarios.
In the office scenario, Tencent Cloud offers concrete examples. Before a Tencent Meeting begins, WorkBuddy can dispatch a robot to the workstation for a physical reminder and guide the user to the right meeting room. Five minutes before the meeting ends, the Qiyuan robot can raise its hand and give a voice reminder.
By speaking a request to the robot, users can have WorkBuddy generate documents and PPTs in the background, complete data analysis and deep research, and automatically send the finished deliverables to WeCom, WeChat and other IM tools. The design logic is that WorkBuddy generates content while the robot transmits information and executes actions in physical space.
Meeting reminders, guiding and hand-raising do not require complex embodied intelligence by themselves. Yet they extend cloud AI capabilities into the physical world.
