CITIC Securities: Rare-earth magnet exports improve; watch sector rebound
CITIC Securities said in a research note that China-EU trade consultations have sent positive signals, while monthly exports of rare-earth permanent magnets rose to a new high for the year. The brokerage noted that the fourth quarter is traditionally a peak demand season, with emerging applications such as humanoid robots adding fresh growth momentum. Against this backdrop, CITIC Securities argued that the rare-earth sector's supply-rigidity and demand-elasticity logic may continue to strengthen. It maintained a positive view on the strategic allocation value of the rare-earth industrial chain, pointing to improved overseas demand for rare-earth permanent magnets and potential rebounds in related equities. The remarks come as investors watch policy signals and export data for clues on the sector's near-term direction.
