Xiaomi's New Humanoid Robot Debuts at WRC 2026 with Interactive Demos

On August 19, Xiaomi's new-generation humanoid robot made its public debut at the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC) in Beijing. The robot engaged with on-site audiences by delivering flowers, making heart gestures, and performing a gentlemanly bow, showcasing its interactive capabilities.

This marked the first time Xiaomi's robot interacted with general audiences at a public exhibition. According to Xiaomi, the live interaction was driven by large models, enabling autonomous decision-making and execution. The company highlighted that these demonstrations were entirely self-directed by the robot, without external control.

Public information indicates that in July this year, Xiaomi's robotics business completed the initial development of the robot's body. The debut at WRC 2026 signals significant progress in Xiaomi's robotics ecosystem, with potential applications in service and home environments.
