XPeng Q2 Revenue Up, Robotics Business Secures $900M Funding
According to a report from Shanghai Securities News, XPeng Group released its second-quarter 2026 financial results on August 24, showing revenue of RMB 19.74 billion for the quarter. For the first half of 2026, the non-GAAP net loss attributable to ordinary shareholders was RMB 2.92 billion, compared with RMB 810 million in the same period of 2025.
The company guided its third-quarter revenue to increase by 6.47% to 14.81% year-over-year, citing robust demand for its electric vehicles and growth in software and services. The outlook reflects XPeng's confidence in its product pipeline and market momentum.
In a separate announcement, XPeng disclosed that its robotics business completed its first financing round, raising over $900 million. The funds will be used to accelerate development of humanoid robots and embodied AI systems, marking a strategic expansion beyond automobiles. This move underscores investor confidence in XPeng’s diversified technology portfolio, as the company seeks to become a broader AI and robotics player.
