Kuaishou's Beijing Keling Secures Investment from National AI Fund and Charoen Pokphand
On August 31, Beijing Keling, a subsidiary of Kuaishou, signed accession agreements with the National AI Industry Investment Fund (National AI Fund) and Charoen Pokphand Robot Limited. Under these agreements, both the National AI Fund and Charoen Pokphand Robot agreed to become additional investors in the capital increase agreement, injecting cash capital into Beijing Keling. This marks a significant step in Kuaishou's efforts to expand its presence in the artificial intelligence and robotics sectors.
The specific investment amount has not been disclosed by the company. Industry analysts view this move as a strategic reinforcement of Beijing Keling's financial foundation, enabling it to accelerate research and development. The involvement of the National AI Fund, a state-backed initiative, highlights the Chinese government's support for AI innovation. Meanwhile, Charoen Pokphand, a leading Thai conglomerate, brings an international perspective. Together, these investments are expected to facilitate Beijing Keling's growth and contribute to the broader development of China's AI ecosystem. The partnership also reflects growing confidence in the sector among both domestic and foreign investors.
