Gongshu CPPCC Supervises Humanoid Robot Proposal, Completing First Step in Local Industry Layout
The special invited persons sector of the Gongshu District CPPCC recently carried out a proposal supervision activity in Hangzhou. The session focused on a collective proposal by Zhong Laiping and other committee members, titled "Anchoring Future Industry Tracks, Leveraging Gongshu's Resource Advantages, Seizing Humanoid Robot Industry Opportunities, and Cultivating an Embodied Intelligence Innovation Highland."
Participants included Shu Jian, secretary-general of the district CPPCC; officials from the district Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau; the district Science, Technology and Economic Information Bureau; and more than 20 members of the special invited sector.
Proposal supervision is a routine duty of CPPCC bodies, but the subject here stands out: humanoid robots. The meeting signals local government attention to future industries, embodied intelligence, and robotics as strategic priorities. It also marks the first procedural step in Gongshu's industrial layout for humanoid robots.
The discussion aimed to turn policy recommendations into concrete actions, aligning local resources with emerging technology trends. While no final implementation measures were disclosed, the supervision process sets a framework for follow-up coordination among government departments and committee members.
