Acorn Robotics Secures Angel Funding
Acorn Robotics, founded in late 2024, has announced the completion of its angel round financing. The round was co-led by China Merchants Group Ventures and NIO Capital, with participation from Tsinghua Alumni Seed Fund. This comes just four months after the company secured a seed round of nearly 100 million yuan in March, bringing its total funding to several hundred million yuan across the two rounds.
The company's core team hails from Tsinghua University and Harvard University, with expertise spanning mechanical engineering, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence. This interdisciplinary background positions Acorn Robotics to develop innovative solutions at the intersection of robotics and embodied intelligence. The fresh capital will likely accelerate product development and team expansion as the startup aims to make strides in the rapidly evolving robotics industry.
