At an all-hands meeting, NIO CEO William Li announced that Ren Shaoqing, the company's head of autonomous driving, has founded an independent company dedicated to physical AI foundation models and embodied intelligence. NIO will make a strategic investment in the new venture and collaborate with it. According to insiders, the meeting was brief and did not mention any organizational restructuring.
